🏆 **Successful CityDownhill Race 2024** 🏆

On 19 October 2024, more than 5,000 interested parties visited Pößneck to watch exciting MTB races! 80 men and 5 women started. Finally:  Melanie Wittmann and Lucas Rahm were able to secure the desired medals. Congratulations! 🥇🔥 Docter Optics is proud to have supported this event by manufacturing customized glass medals. It was a pleasure to support and promote MTB sports as well as public trails.

Did you know that Docter Optics has an innovation and development center at its headquarters in  Neustadt an der Orla? 🤩🤯🧐🤓

Currently our team is working on industrial replication processes for the production of Fresnel and diffractive lenses (ReMiS). 💥👀💡

Sounds great, but what is the purpose of this research?
Higher, faster, future driven are well know approchaes within the industry - with our research we are moving towards the latest market trends: smaller, lighter, more sustainable.  👨🔬📚📑

As an example:
By reducing the quantity of used materials and components within an optical system it is possible to shorten the installation depth.
Using sustainable multifunctional lenses offers complete new industrial solutions within the world projected images e.g. in fields like automotive lighting. ✌💹

The W3+ Fair in Jena has become a high-tech hotspot in Central Germany.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary approach, leading companies from photonics, optics, electronics, and mechanics come together here, including quite a few highly specialized hidden champions. Of course, we were there again in the last week of September to present our latest solutions. Cutting-edge technology was in the air and we were able to learn a lot about the latest developments and requirements in the German economy. As always, W3+ was also a great opportunity to make contacts across industry sectors and to develop ideas for future innovative projects together.

Pack your bags, Docter Optics went travelling again ✈️🧳! This time we headed to the land of the rising sun 🌅, to the Shenzhen World Exhibition in China. The ‘China International Optoelectronic Exposition’ took place there from 11 to 13 September this year 👀 and is the largest of its kind in the world 🤯!
We had interesting and important discussions on site and were able to gather many impressions of the optoelectronics market in China 🗨️. Thuringia was the only German state represented at the exhibition with the help of LEG Thüringen 💪.
Our thanks go to Thomas Dobrowsky & Agnes Ninnemann from LEG for the recommendation, the preparations for the organisation in China as well as Wu Tong and Hao Zhi from the AHK for the overall support 🙏.
